Day 100

Yes. It really has been that long. Can you believe it? It feels really wierd to think that I'm almost 1/3 through my exchange. Like, where did all that time go? And what exactly have I accomplished yet? Not much, it feels like.

Oh! And how did I celebrate this momentous occassion? Stay home sick and sleep until noon, then after some breakfast, take a nap. Seriously? How lame is that. I was going to party! Well, actually no. But I was going to be happy all day and go to gym class and be interviewed by some grade 9 girls (I feel so bad for not being there today!!!) and write the 20 years later of If Romeo and Juliet Didn't Kill Themselves. And decorate a Christmas tree. A real, not made of wire, more than two feet tall, requires water, wonderful-smelling Christmas tree! But no. I'm at home, lonely, with zero energy. Boo.

PS. You are allowed to comment, you know. I don't care if it's just "You lost the game!" (haha! You just lost the game!) or "There was this french guy with a really cute accent," or "Wicked Awesome? You've got to be kidding." or ANYTHING. You can say anything. You could tell me about your Christmas tree or what sweater you wore today or how much it snowed last night or what your math teacher assigned for homework. I don't care, but I love comments.

Hi sweetie - sorry you're feeling so lousy. The good news is that you have a real tree!

Aw I hope you feel better on day 101?

20 years later if Romeo and Juliet didn't kill themselves? Jealous! I wish I could do that.

Sadly, I've never witnessed a real Christmas tree.

I like the include in your PS! It was tres cute and made me go "aw" because the poor fellow was out in the -29 degree weather, only to be rejected by probably 90% of all the doors he's treked too.

My Christmas tree has amazing colorful lights that has 14 different flash modes (which are all pretty similar. although some are nice. others give me seizures.)--even though on the box it advertised 16 different flash modes. OMG how can I stand it with 2 less flash modes? 14 is just not enough.

It snowed last night, although not too much. Thank goodness. I love the people who shovel their driveways. Like Dola's parents.

Math is pretty dumb. We're making a Get Well card for Mrs. Gegley, who's away this whole week. And it's gigantic! It was all Laura Ho's idea. It's got felt, feathers, glitter....it's lovely. I'm hoping Savannah took a photo...if not I will so you can see it. I'll post it on my blog (as well as the gingerbread houses) once I get my stupid camera working. Hopefully this weekend.

OH and by the way, Kathleen and I decided that Laura has been touched by fate. She bumped into a guy in the math wing the other day ("Oh sorry!") and Kathleen was like, "That is a beautiful start to a magnificent love story." Ah fate. Except we never caught a good glance at the guy, but I'm sure he'll be picking up Laura's hypothetical books that she dropped sometime soon. ("Here's your pencil." "Oh--thank you." *blush*)

OK, seriously Linda and Kathle and overactive imaginations! I didn't even see the guy's friggin' face!! But whatever!

And I love the free rein on comments! I will not hold back!! So, what can I say?

I dissected a fetal pig! And it was SO COOL!! (Does that make me a freak?)

And yes, it seems ridiculous that you've been there for a 100 days. But more of the "ONLY 100 DAYS?!?!? SHE'S NEVER GOING TO COME BACK!!"
I seriously am doubting if I'll ever make it. And I really hope you don't love Turkey too much to want to come back.... I miss you.

LAURA. FETAL PİG DİSECTİON WAS THE HİLİGHT OF GRADE TEN ACADEMİC YEAR. There is nothing weird about it. It rocks. Period. Linda and Savannah and I rocked Bio. And I named my pig Bella. She was sooo cool. Her intestines were longer than her body. Like, waaay longer. And her cute little piggy tail? Aww. I loved her like a pet rock.

It is soooo like Kathle and Linda to create a love story out of an everyday occurance. Can anyone think of a time when Kathle HASN'T done that?

Loooooooooooooveeez You!

We just put up our Christmas tree yesterday but it isn't decorated... And it isn't real. And I WISH there was this French guy with a really cute accent. But there isn't. All I have is David from my Espaces. And he isn't cute and doesn't have a good accent even because he is American. And he is always creeping on Sandrine. AND you guys don't even know who he is because you aren't in my French class!! CASSANDRA IF YOU ARE LISTENING, COMMENT ON THIS!!! Anyway, I wore my ruined David Bowie hoodie today because it was pyjama day and since it is RUINED I can only wear it on such a day... WAAHHHHH!!!! I miss it. I don't really know if it snowed last night but I am sure it did. Mrs. Burry didn't give us any homework but we have a review due the Wednesday after we get back. Today we marked some grade nine's reviews. That's what happened today in math, as well as the Hangman.

And ha ha! After reading the comments, that is. I really should read them first I guess. It really was very romantic. Seriously though, you would agree. He walked FULL FORCE into her, it was very much like a movie. Now they will have to do like Linda said with the pencils and such. And they will both reach for a pencil, and their hands will touch, and they will linger for a second, but then they'll be like, "Ah! Sorry!"

jecopsyc!!! is the word also.

AHHH!!! THE WORD JUST NOW AFTER I COMMENTED WAS LANGLOSE!!! BUT I LEFT IT BEHIND AND WENT BACK BEFORE COMMENTING AGAIN!! Argh. But LANGLOSE! It's meaningful to me.
